Welcome to the Formula One Grid Logan Sargeant

I got into Formula One thanks to Netflix's series Drive to Survive and I saw the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on ESPN where Lewis Hamilton won which as of now after the 2022 season is Hamilton's last win. Since Drive to Survive, I've been hooked. Watching the races when I can and watching Youtube videos by WTF1 and Josh Revell among others and it's not just me. Other Americans have been flocking to the sport probably since Liberty Media bought F1 and again Drive to Survive. Prior to that, well not so much. Even though the previous owner of Formula One Bernie Ecclestone tried to make it work a number of times including having three American races in 1982 (Detroit, Long Beach, and Vegas). He also tried Dallas and Phoenix but no luck. Well, there was the Indianapolis 500 but after the 2005 race where only six drivers raced because the Michelin tire teams retired because the tires wore out faster than the Bridgestone drivers and the FIA didn't do anything to adjust thi...

Sequels that won't happen: Bull Durham 2

Probably won't happen since Kevin Costner is busy with Yellowstone and would Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon do another movie together after being separated? Since I've be doing fan-fiction sequels, I wanted to do one on Bull Durham especially since the Durham Bulls are the Rays Triple-A team. During the movie, they were the Braves' single A team. Anyway, I have Crash Davis (Costner) who manages the Bulls after managing in the big leagues. He and Annie (Sarandon) were married and are now divorced. They have two kids including a son who played in the Big Leagues but decided to retire and join his dad's coaching staff. The Rays promote this pitcher who reminds Crash of his old teammate Nuke Laloosh (Robbins). A great talent with control issues and not up there in the intelligence department. So he decides to make two decisions. The first one is to convince his son who played catcher as well as first base, outfield, and DH to come out of retirement to catch for the pitcher....

Who should be the new USF Football Coach?

After going 4-26 and losing to Temple, the University of South Florida said goodbye to their football coach Jeff Scott. Now, USF has to hired a new guy for 2023. Who should it be? I have some suggestions. I don't know if USF would listen and/or read my suggestions, I know Fox 13 didn't which reminds me, enjoy retirement Cynthia Smoot. Here's my list anyway. Deion Sanders: I know he probably wouldn't look at a program that's not in the power 5 but then again, I believe it would be smart for Coach Prime to consider a lower-tier FBS program before settings his slights at a Power 5 job. If he can recruit players to go to Jackson State, imagine the players he can get to join USF. Plus a USF coach did eventually get the FSU job. Granted it didn't work for Willie Taggart but Coach Prime would it get more leeway than Taggart. I heard Coach Prime is a legend at FSU.  Carnell "Cadillac" Williams: Currently he's the Auburn interim head coach at his alma mater...

Sequels that wouldn't happen: Talladega Nights 2

After doing my Days of Thunder 2 fan fiction and looking it DannyBTalks vid about Dennit Racing (team from Talladega Nights) which DannyB did for April Fools Day in 2020.  Check it out:  Dennit Racing - The Rise & Fall - YouTube After my post and video, I figured why not do Talladega Nights 2. First I'll start from end of the first movie. After the 2005 UAW-Ford 500, NASCAR investigates the crash caused by Ricky Bobby's replacement Brian Wavecrest where Wavecrest confesses that Larry Dennit Jr. ordered him to crash Cal Naughton Jr. causing the big one. Wavecrest is suspended indefinitely and Dennit is forced to sell the team. Susan, Ricky Bobby's girlfriend played by Amy Adams buys the team and calls it Ricky Bobby Racing. They keep the number 26 and number 47 cars with Bobby returning to the 26 Wonder Bread car for the seven remaining races to help Cal to win the championship which he does beat Tony Stewart in Homestead. So a combination of my vision and DannyB's v...

What Beverly Hills Cop 3 should have been in my opinion

With the fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie in production, I've been thinking about Beverly Hills Cop 3 and how it was the weakest of the franchise. Some of the actors like Paul Reiser and John Ashton passed on the movie, Reiser had an excuse with Mad About You in production. Also, I read somewhere that Ronny Cox who played Bogomil read the script and said no maybe Ashton did the same thing. Don't worry Reiser and Ashton will be back on Beverly Hills Cop 4 or BHS: Axel Foley. The third movie was about counterfeit money made in a knockoff Disneyland park called Wonderworld, Inspector Todd was killed, and a Secret Service agent was in on the plan and the leader was the head of security of WonderWorld or was it the Secret Service Agent? Anyway, my version of Beverly Hills Cop 3 would have happened in Detroit with Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Taggart (John Ashton) coming to Detroit. You're probably asking, Why would I call it Beverly Hills Cop 3 if they're going to Detroit? Be...

Sequels that won't happened: Days of Thunder 2

Maybe it could, did anyone expect Top Gun: Maverick to happen? OK, there was talk since 2010 for Top Gun Maverick to happen. Now some people including myself want a Top Gun 3 to happen. Maybe see Maverick to one last mission before retiring from the Navy or he called back to do last mission or he's a civilian trainer of a new class of Top Gun. Maybe have it be a NATO mission to get an excuse for Lewis Hamilton to land a role. Hamilton was offered a role on TG: Maverick but passed on it because it interfered with the F1 season. I'm guessing he would have been Coyote. He would have had to make some changes like lose his piercings, have an American accent, and cut his hair. Also I would like to see some other F1 drivers appear on Top Gun 3 if they go the NATO route like George Russell, Carlos Sainz, and I hate to say this but Max Verstappen. Who knows if Top Gun 3 will happen. I think if Tom Cruise isn't interested then more than likely it's not going to happen unless Para...

My Second Plot for Mrs. Doubtfire 2

This is more plausible than the Tech Billionaire one. This one the Mrs. Doubtfire show is still on and Daniel Hillard is coming off another divorce and his kid in his second marriage is off to college. However, he gets a roommate. His oldest son Chris played by Matt Lawrence moves in as he's going his own divorce while being unemployed after being layout from his job and his ex ends up winning sole custody with Chris getting to see his three kids one day a week for an hour like his dad in Original Mrs. Doubtfire. While Chris is looking for work, the producers are pushing for Daniel to add another character to the show a guy in an animal suit let's say a Dog. At first, he's against this but after talking to Chris about it and the struggle to find a job. Daniel has an idea, why not have Chris be the new character? Plus, it would give Chris an opportunity to see his kids and the show also added a live studio audience. At first it works especially since the grandkids including ...
