Sequels that won't happened: Days of Thunder 2

Maybe it could, did anyone expect Top Gun: Maverick to happen? OK, there was talk since 2010 for Top Gun Maverick to happen. Now some people including myself want a Top Gun 3 to happen. Maybe see Maverick to one last mission before retiring from the Navy or he called back to do last mission or he's a civilian trainer of a new class of Top Gun. Maybe have it be a NATO mission to get an excuse for Lewis Hamilton to land a role. Hamilton was offered a role on TG: Maverick but passed on it because it interfered with the F1 season. I'm guessing he would have been Coyote. He would have had to make some changes like lose his piercings, have an American accent, and cut his hair. Also I would like to see some other F1 drivers appear on Top Gun 3 if they go the NATO route like George Russell, Carlos Sainz, and I hate to say this but Max Verstappen. Who knows if Top Gun 3 will happen. I think if Tom Cruise isn't interested then more than likely it's not going to happen unless Paramount shows him the money (I'll see myself out). However, the sequel I want to see happen but more than likely won't is another Tom Cruise movie. That movie is Days of Thunder. I think a sequel can happen, granted yes NASCAR isn't as popular as it was in the mid-2000s but then again, it wasn't popular in the early 1990s and Days of Thunder was a success. Cole Trickle is a four-time NASCAR Cup who ends up owning a Cup team Trickle Racing let's say along with his duties as a broadcaster and there a successful team (think Stewart Haas Racing) however, Cole wants to add another car to his team making it four. His looking at going someone from Formula 1 to drive in his fourth car. Think Trackhouse Racing's Project 91 if Project 91 was a full-time ride. He and his team interviews real-life drivers like Hamilton, Russell, Danny Ric, and Kimi if they can get Kimi for the movie. Cole and his team debates between Hamilton and Russell but Toto Wolff playing himself (or get Arnold to portray Toto) to basically yell at Cole that he's not having his drivers leave to drive in NASCAR. Cole nearly gives up until he sees a profile driver who raced in F1 for about three years and had some success but now driving in the Formula E series. At first, the rest of his team helping him find the fourth driver says "Are you sure about him?  He doesn't have a good reputation?" Cole Responds "Neither did I". So he gets to a Formula E race to see this driver (I have him being either British or French) who wins the race and Cole talks with him about joining NASCAR. The Driver is hesitant but Cole convinces him to join and the Drivers agree. Cole hires Buck Bretherton (John C Reilly) as the driver's Crew Chief. Cole puts him through the rounds of driving a stock car because a stock car is much different than an open-wheel race car for those who don't. After months of intense training in the off-season, the NASCAR Cup season starts. The driver struggles at first also giving into rivalries with some drivers, then he finds success and completes for the championship but has a serious accident which causes him miss the rest of the season and he considers retirement but words from Cole convince him to give it another go of it and brings up his accident. After intense training in the off-season, the Driver wins the Daytona 500 and a year or so later the driver wins the Cup Championship and thanks Cole for believing in him and the rival drivers congratulated the driver. The movie ends with Cole and the driver holding the Cup Trophy up high. Also, I have plan for another NASCAR sequel and another movie with John C Reilly and yes it's Talladega Nights.
