Three cheers to Gillum

It seems like that 2018 is the year of the upset especially in politics. Then again, it started probably in 2017 with governor's race in Virginia where Ralph Northam beat Ed Gillespie and then the US Senate in Alabama where Doug Jones beat a guy who got banned from a Alabama mall Roy Moore. OK probably calling that Virginia Governor's race an upset is probably an overstatement but US Senate race in Alabama wasn't because Alabama hardly elected Democrats. Anyone seen that clip from Sacha Baron Cohen's Who is America? where he interviewed Moore and thing beeped at Moore for being a pedophile (or should I said alleged Pedophile, probably depends if you want to go there or not). Also Arizona Republicans were smart of not voting former Sheriff Joe Arpaio (who also made an appearance on Who is America?) in the US Senate Primary (Martha McSally got the nom will be facing off against fellow congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema in the general election go Kyrsten). As some of you kn...

It's time for the blue wave in Florida

Anyone remember 1998? I know I was in 8th grade in Booker T. Washington Middle School (before it came an elementary school) and I got my first taste of politics when I (in my homeroom period if I recall) voted for the governor's race again for my homeroom class. I asked my mom in the car coming home I should consider voting for which was Buddy McKay who was the Lt. Governor for Lawton Chiles and Jeb Bush. Unsure what she said exactly about Bush but I know it led me to pick McKay and led me to be a Democrat. My class overwhelming voted for McKay however Florida picked Bush and hasn't looked back with 20 years of Republican rule. I first voted in 2002 and I voted for Bill McBride. I'm admit I would have voted for Jeb Bush if Janet Reno won the 2002 primary because of the Elian Gonzalez situation where Reno ordered agent to remove Gonzalez from his cousin's house to be returned to Cuba. That also cost Al Gore the 2000 president elections because ten thousand Cubans li...

RIP John McCain

I'm sure if you seen my pervious posts, I'm not the nicest to Republicans. I've said some crude and vulgar things about them mostly because how the Republican leaders/candidates are bending down/bending over for Trump. Also standing behind Trump it seems like no matter what. You would think they want Pence to take over by now. Anyway I going to talk about one of the few Republicans I respect and that's John McCain and hearing the sad news that he was no longer receiving treatment for his brain cancer and then a day later, died at the age of 81. I was hoping to finish this before he died. This is a guy who has served his country for over 60 years with his Military Service (Navy) and his political career. He fought in Vietnam where he was a Prisoner Of War when his plane was shot down, later captured, and suffered brutal torture for five and a half years that left him with permanent injuries. Something that the POS president Trump either forgot or didn't care abo...

Voter's Remorse

I'm going to admit I was wrong on who I voted for Governor and possibly Attorney General in this primary and this is a first for me in about 14 years I started to regret voting for people. I'm admit I fill-in my name in 2016 in the US Senate race instead of Patrick Murphy and Lil Marco Rubio (unsure how many votes I got, more than my brief  run for US Congress this year) and also I voted for Mike Gravel for the 2008 Primary instead of Obama or Hillary. I didn't like the Democrats in 2008 at first weren't going to count Florida (and Michigan) for moving there primary ahead of a certain date. I voted for Gravel who was a former two-term US Senator from Alaska and possibly the oldest candidate there because the Dems not counting Florida. Eventually, the democrats decided to count the votes in those states because the race between Obama and Hillary was tight however I already casted out vote for Gravel. If not for that, I would have voted for Obama. Despite that, I ...

Stand your Ground Law

I'm admit Criminal Justice system is one of the topic I least like talking about. If I'm pro reform, I'm anti-cop, anti-law but if against reforms I'm racist. However, that being said I AM FOR NOT ONLY FOR POLICE REFORMS BUT REFORMS IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN GENERAL. It seems like we hold people in retail stores with more accountable than Police Officers. I am not anti-Police or anti-Law, I'm pro do your job correctly. Also if we're going to have the death penalty, prosecutors should make damn sure they got the right person not prosecute someone then sometime they find out they executed the wrong person. One of the laws that we need changing is Stand Your Ground Law. Honestly I don't hate the law but I don't like it either. I saw the video of Michael Drejka killing Markeis McGlockton (well up until Drejka pulling the trigger). I'm sorry, OK not really but Drejka killed him and honestly Drejka wasn't standing his ground in my opinion. McG...

Rick Scott: Florida's Asshole

I know out of a state there's infamous for stories of people being dumbasses probably not a surprised that our dumbass in chief Donald Trump has a place in Florida (you know Mar-A-Lago), I call out the guy who leads the state. Actually more like "leads" the state. Let's face it, Rick Scott doesn't lead shit. If people turned out in 2010 like they did in 2008, Alex Sink would have been rapping up her second term as governor and Rick Scott would live his house in Naples spending money he stole from people during his CEO days for Columbia/HCA. Him promising jobs, jobs, and jobs and not many liberals voting was what got Scott elected in 2010. Again vote this November or assholes like Scott and Trump are elected to jobs have no business being in and I'm going to continue saying this until you guys do show up and vote. Speaking of Governor, I voted for Phillip Levine. I was tempted with Andrew Gillum but I went with Levine. I would like to see a Levine/Gillum t...

Should Lebron run for President?

Usually I'm hesitant about a celebrity running for office because they don't have experience and of course our president Trump though I did endorse a couple of actresses running in New York especially Cynthia Nixon for Governor because her like I was running against a popular incumbent though she's stay running and I'm not (still support her). Then again I also endorse Joe Crowley and ended up losing to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in his primary. Good News is I'm not the only Crowley to fail in win in his bid in his state's the 14th district. Good luck to Ms. Ocasio-Cortez in the general election. I'm bring this up because Lebron James did an interview with Don Lemon of CNN (also Lebron did another interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN but the Don Lemon is the more notable one) to promote his I Promise school and of course the tweeter in chief had to respond to the interview (OK he didn't but when has that stop the president?). His tweet said " L...

Urban Freaking Meyer

Oh where to go with this freaking douche (can you tell I don't like the guy?). I'm admit, I am a Florida Gator fan and let's just not a fan. Yes I know when he was Utah Utes coach in 2004 when given the choice between taking the Notre Dame job (which was Meyer's dream job) and the Florida job, he chose the Gator job because his mentor and former boss ex-Ohio State and Colorado State coach Earle Bruce suggested he take the job because of recruiting talent in the state of Florida. Yes I know that Meyer won two SEC and National Championship with the Gators (2006 and 2008) and brought in talent like Joe Haden, Percy Harvin, and of course Heisman Winner Tim Tebow. However the reason I hate Urban Meyer is he left Florida for "health reasons" and a year later he decided he was healthy enough to coach in Ohio State. OK a dick move for me to assume he was faking an illness. He could have had real health issues but it seems a little silly that he left the Gators wh...
