Should Lebron run for President?
Usually I'm hesitant about a celebrity running for office because they don't have experience and of course our president Trump though I did endorse a couple of actresses running in New York especially Cynthia Nixon for Governor because her like I was running against a popular incumbent though she's stay running and I'm not (still support her). Then again I also endorse Joe Crowley and ended up losing to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in his primary. Good News is I'm not the only Crowley to fail in win in his bid in his state's the 14th district. Good luck to Ms. Ocasio-Cortez in the general election. I'm bring this up because Lebron James did an interview with Don Lemon of CNN (also Lebron did another interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN but the Don Lemon is the more notable one) to promote his I Promise school and of course the tweeter in chief had to respond to the interview (OK he didn't but when has that stop the president?). His tweet said "Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!,"
Sorry I actually paste the actually tweet from his twitter page (should I start double spacing my blogposts?). Oh by the way, Michael Jordan is on team Lebron as long with most if not all of the NBA, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and believe or not Melania Trump is siding with Lebron over her husband. Guessing they won't be sharing a bed anytime soon (don't worry I'm sure Sean Hannity will sleep with Trump in the meantime, you know it's true). Also didn't Trump deny watching Don Lemon on CNN at one point? Well regardless I'm sure CNN and Don Lemon is happy that Trump watches the show. So far, Lebron has yet to response to Trump's tweet though again others have. Not the only time Lebron and Trump have got behind each other. Lebron called a Trump bum when Trump "disinvited" Steph Curry to an invite to the White House when the Golden State Warriors last year though they won the title though Curry said they ain't going. Lebron accused Trump of using sports to divide us and he's right especially when it comes to the NFL. Honestly I'm not a fan of kneeling during the anthem but also I'm not for forcing the players to stand. You know whose for forced patriotism? DICTATORSHIPS. If we allow the NFL do this, we really need to take a look in the mirror because a number of us (I would guess most of) live in this country because either people fled oppressive regimes or our ancestors did especially if you're from English descent. Also if we allow the NFL to do this, we're a step closer to allow Donald Trump to be a dictator (or should I said DICKTATOR). I know I don't want that. Again some of my ancestors/relatives fled Cuba to come here. Also Lebron has hinted he would run for president if the Democrats don't have anyone. Personally I still like for someone to have experience but I believe one of the reasons why Trump was elected was because of his celebrity. Lebron would challenge that because celebrity wise, I believe Lebron is a bigger star than Trump and would increase voter turnout (also help from his friends). Plus he won championships for teams in Florida and Ohio (key states in an election). Probably would have been better for Lebron if he signed with the 76ers or the Rockets (just saying). Though Lebron does have some baggage like the decision, being accused of flopping, and being 3-6 in the finals. OK granted not as much as Screaming Orange but still he has pissed off people. Plus he endorsed Hillary and well she lost Ohio faster than she did with Florida and Pennsylvania and this was the year, he and the Cavs won Cleveland first title in 50 plus years. Honestly I would like to see Lebron run but will Lebron? I doubt he would call it quits after one season with the Lakers unless they the championship which is highly unlikely especially with that All-Star team of the Golden State Warriors but you never know, look whose our president. Or two years though the time to start running would be during his second season with the Lakers. Also Lebron produce a documentary called "Shut up and Dribble" in a reply to Fox News Host Laura Ingraham. Just wanted to share that.
