In February, Fox 13 Tampa News Anchor Kelly Ring announced she was retiring after over 37 years at Fox 13, which included over 30 years on the anchor desk weekday evenings. That's very impressive for anyone in the news biz and that's not including her time prior to her Fox 13 tenure in Winston Salem so in total she's been a journalist for about 40 years. She anchored with two generations of Wilsons (John and his son Mark). Any chance Patrick can give her a role in a movie? Your move Patrick. She did stories in Cuba, Saudia Arabia during the first Gulf, and Russia in the early 90s. It's going to be weird not seeing her on-air (OK I don't watch Fox 13 news) after all that time. Heck, a good number of people weren't alive when she first started (I was very young). Enjoy Retirement Kelly. Her last day is May 25th. Now the question who will replace her? OK more of a mixed blessing since they did lose millions in profits because no butts in the stands because of the Coronavirus and for the Lightning playing in the bubble away from home in Canada. OK except for the Rays because the stands would have still mostly empty because not many people go to Rays games even before the pandemic. Then again, each of the three pro teams made it to the Championship Game/Series with the Bolts winning their second Stanley Cup after about four seasons of playoffs chokes including the previous season, I'm not going to mention. I rather mention losing to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015. At least it was their third title in six seasons, so the Hawks had Stanley Cup Experience. They won the Stanley Cup Final against the Dallas Stars 4-2 in September. They have a chance to repeat though they would have to win the Central Division to make it to the playoffs.      After the events of Wednesday 6th, 2021 where the MAGA terrorists invaded the Capitol Building, I do not believe the inauguration should happen in Washington DC. It should happen in Wilmington, Delaware, Joe Biden's hometown. After the Capitol Police handing of those assholes, I don't trust them of handing the security of the inauguration. Allegedly, some of the officers posed for selfies with those anarchists and if that's true those officers should lose their badges. They blew it. They knew those MAGA terrorists were coming. They should have been prepared just in case things got out of hand but NO they weren't. They did a better job regarding the Black Lives Matter protest in the summer (gee I wonder why?).      Tomorrow the 36th season of the Challenge starts and honestly am unsure I want to watch anymore. I hate to say I will stop watching the Challenge but I'm unsure if I want to watch anymore. Heck, Johnny Bananas isn't on this upcoming season (Shocking I know, he was the franchise). Maybe I'll see the first episode because I'm curious to see how they filmed this season because they filmed this season during the pandemic and would be interesting if they air what the procedures were for the cast and crew. I didn't really see the previous one which the Banana Douche won (Yes, I still hate him, and more than likely that won't end) even though it had Jenna Compono on the series (Sorry Jenna). I didn't/don't like where the producers/casting director are going with the casting of the show.       Hey, I haven't been on here for a while. Still working and working on a project or two. Also, burnt out from doing this blog but wanted to check-in. Hanging in there for all the Covid precarious and I do miss crap outside of work with a few expectations. I missed out on four trips (two planned), three XFL games, playing kickball, celebrating my birthday with friends, other social things. I could go on and on. Heck, I want to see the Raptors play in Tampa which I probably will. One, I will talk about is a trip to Austin, I did get an invite to come with a couple I knew from kickball to see the USF Bulls play against Texas which fell on a day after my birthday and I was going to plan to make it happen. I have a number of Southwest gift cards I haven't use yet and the biggest expanse would have been a hotel room though I stayed in one in Dallas and Atlanta and had reservations of a two-night stay in New Orleans.       I know people who ask what is Cancel Culture? OK not really but I'm doing to answer anyway or at least attempt to. It's a form of public/online shaming where people withdraw of a person or company for doing or saying (or possibly wearing) something offensive or just straight boycotting. There's been a lot of that going on. Honestly, I not for it but I really against it either. I'm sure there's I'm for it like with Skip Bayless. Skip needs to be at least to be suspended for his comments about Dak Prescott after Dak admitted battling depression because of the pandemic and his brother's suicide. I heard Skip's contract is up soon, so Fox Sports don't renew Skip. Also, if you need to seek help: DO IT.      Last I checked, Coronavirus doesn't care if you're man/woman, white/black, liberal/conservative, etc. it's killing hundreds of thousands of people and it's getting millions of people sick and for those who do better, will still deal with the effects of the virus. Plus the whole world is going through this not just a problem in the states. However, we are divided into believing in this pandemic is real or not. Also, there's a fight on rather to wear a mask or not. Personally,  I believe any Trump supporters that don't believe it's real to volunteer at a hospital and let us know if it is or not. Attacking the media isn't going to make Coronavirus go away.  I've seen people on Facebook attack anchors/reporters for their posting on the continued coverage.
