Catching up

Hey, I haven't been on here for a while. Still working and working on a project or two. Also, burnt out from doing this blog but wanted to check-in. Hanging in there for all the Covid precarious and I do miss crap outside of work with a few expectations. I missed out on four trips (two planned), three XFL games, playing kickball, celebrating my birthday with friends, other social things. I could go on and on. Heck, I want to see the Raptors play in Tampa which I probably will. One, I will talk about is a trip to Austin, I did get an invite to come with a couple I knew from kickball to see the USF Bulls play against Texas which fell on a day after my birthday and I was going to plan to make it happen. I have a number of Southwest gift cards I haven't use yet and the biggest expanse would have been a hotel room though I stayed in one in Dallas and Atlanta and had reservations of a two-night stay in New Orleans. We weren't in the planning stage yet because the game was in September. I don't know Southwest had flights set up for that month yet. Then came mid-March where everything changed. I had to cancel the New Orleans reservations, miss out on my cousin's wedding in Atlanta, and possibly trips to Austin and Arizona. Of course, the USF-Texas didn't happen. More than likely the first time I won't fly to Arizona since my dad moved there. Also, I opted-out of the kickball league I play for. They started in October and I was more than conflicted on that than the time I miss a season for my sister's weddings (I know I was going to miss). It sucks, no doubt that and I know people are tired of especially since we're going on 9th month since the pandemic. People want to live their lives and not have restrictions. I get that, I wish we didn't have to worry about it but we do. I wish there was a way to we can stop the spread and do the things we want to do but as of right now there isn't, at least not yet. There are vaccines upcoming as soon as later this month but it will take until June for everyone to get vaccinated (maybe sooner, there's going to be millions that won't want to get it). However, I wished that people wore a mask and social distance if they want to go out or stay at home. Personally, I think anyone who thinks that the coronavirus is a hoax please volunteer at a hospital and let us know what that's going. Unsure if hospitals are taking volunteers but if they are, I'm sure they would like the help. Also, to those politicians who believe in keeping the economy open during these times. It isn't good for the economy when thousands of people miss work due to a pandemic. Also, those politicians are considered Evangelicals. What happened to do no harm to others? They should never say they're pro-life ever again because they're not. They would put people over profit if they were. Hopefully with Biden as president things will be better but we still got 50 days of the Trump and who knows what will happen in Georgia with the senate seats up for grabs in a month (Vote Ossoff and Warnock). If Ossoff and Warnock win, Democrats take the edge (actually it would be 50-50 with the deciding being the Vice President, Hello Kamala). I know it's frustrating (it's behind frustrating really) but let's hang in there until the vaccinate arrives. Stay home as much as you can and if you do go out wear a mask and social distance.
