At least Tampa sports had a good 2020

OK more of a mixed blessing since they did lose millions in profits because no butts in the stands because of the Coronavirus and for the Lightning playing in the bubble away from home in Canada. OK except for the Rays because the stands would have still mostly empty because not many people go to Rays games even before the pandemic. Then again, each of the three pro teams made it to the Championship Game/Series with the Bolts winning their second Stanley Cup after about four seasons of playoffs chokes including the previous season, I'm not going to mention. I rather mention losing to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015. At least it was their third title in six seasons, so the Hawks had Stanley Cup Experience. They won the Stanley Cup Final against the Dallas Stars 4-2 in September. They have a chance to repeat though they would have to win the Central Division to make it to the playoffs. Don't win the division, they're out simple as that. As of February 18th, they're a point away. The Rays made it to the World Series for the second time in franchise history and once again lost, this time in six games. At least it was closer than it was in 2008 against the Phillies. However, it's going to be remembered mostly because Manager Kevin Cash pulled starting pitcher Blake Snell after only 71 pitches in-game 6 for Nick Anderson (not the guy from the mid-1990s Magic teams) with a 1-0 lead. The Los Angeles Dodgers ended up winning the game and the World Series. Los Angeles also rivals Tampa in having a successful 2020 sports year with the Lakers and Dodgers winning their Championships and the Rams and Clippers made it to the playoffs. Though Kings and Chargers didn't make it to the playoffs and they lost a LA legend in Kobe Bryant. Then there's the Bucs with two guys I really didn't like and then they joined the Bucs in Tom Brady and Antonio Brown. Things looked great in the first eight games with the Bucs going 6-2 however they lost three of their next four games having a 7-5 record. It didn't look good and then they won out which started against the Atlanta Falcons who blew a 17 point lead against the Bucs that game. That was their fourth or fifth game they blew that season and Tom Brady came back against Atlanta again. At least it was only 17 points this time and not 25 points. Then the Bucs followed the 2005 Steelers, the 2007 Giants who beat the Bucs in the first round that year, and the 2010 Packers in winning all their road playoffs game to play in the Super Bowl and being the first-ever team to do so in their home stadium. Their opponent was the last time to beat them, The Kansas City Chiefs. This time, The Bucs won 31-9 as Brady threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions after throwing for three picks in the first meeting. Also, the Defense made sure the Chiefs didn't burn them like they did last time and Mahomes spent most of the game running away from Bucs Defense. Both the Bolts and the Bucs had a parade on the Hillsborough River. Could the Raptors join in since they're playing in Amalie Arena for the season? Right Now, the Raptors are 7th in the Eastern Conference so it's possible but unlikely plus it would be more for Toronto than Tampa though why not celebrate in both places though unlikely in Toronto. I'm sure Jane Castor would allow another parade for the Raptors. Same with the Blue Jays who will start the season in Dunedin. I wonder if our governor will see a few games there since he's from Dunedin. I hope things get better ASAP so to can actually celebrate without much worries.
