Possible Replacements for Kelly Ring

In February, Fox 13 Tampa News Anchor Kelly Ring announced she was retiring after over 37 years at Fox 13, which included over 30 years on the anchor desk weekday evenings. That's very impressive for anyone in the news biz and that's not including her time prior to her Fox 13 tenure in Winston Salem so in total she's been a journalist for about 40 years. She anchored with two generations of Wilsons (John and his son Mark). Any chance Patrick can give her a role in a movie? Your move Patrick. She did stories in Cuba, Saudia Arabia during the first Gulf, and Russia in the early 90s. It's going to be weird not seeing her on-air (OK I don't watch Fox 13 news) after all that time. Heck, a good number of people weren't alive when she first started (I was very young). Enjoy Retirement Kelly. Her last day is May 25th. Now the question who will replace her? Here are my suggestions so hint, hint Fox 13 bosses

The Longshots

Probably not going to happen but I'm going to say these names anyway.

Allison Kropff: 10 Years of Experience at 10 News but she did announce her own retirement on October 2021 and I doubt she would return that quickly especially since she got married recently (Congrats Allison) plus I don't know if she can. I don't know what the rules are for reporter/anchor going station to station in the same city and if there's a time limit on when a person to can do that.

Heather Van Nest: Another popular Anchor from 10 News but she hasn't been on-air since 2014. Would she return after an eight-year absence and return to the night shift which led her to leave in the first place? She would come home earlier compare to 10 news shift but not by much.

Ashley Glass: More possible than the first two, spent eight years at ABC Action News before leaving to join the Sheriff's Office and later moving back to West Palm Beach to anchor the morning shift at WPEC where she recently left. I don't know if she would 1. Move back to Tampa and 2. Come back to the TV News. We don't know what her future plans would be. 

The In-House opinions

Haley Hinds and Sorboni Banerjee: Probably the best candidates to replace Kelly especially since they're the weekend anchors. Haley has the slight edge since she is the weekend evening anchor compared to Sorboni being a weekend morning anchor but don't count out Sorboni. 

The Out of House opinions with Tampa Ties

Vanessa Ruffes: She was the Fox 13 Traffic anchor before going to Charlotte being the weekday evening anchor. I'm sure she'll be welcomed back by viewers. Plus she was a Rays season ticket holder. 

Victoria Price: Probably a long shot since unsure she's still with ABC Action News alum Ryan Smith who's now on TND based in Washington DC and she's now at a station in Boston which is a bigger TV market but she does have anchoring experience for News Channel 8. I believe she's worth consideration.  

and that's my list. Will I make another list of those without Tampa market experience? Probably, there's a lot of people FOX 13 Tampa can chose from.

I have Questions about Only Murders In the Building in the casting

I should say spoiler alert for those who haven't watch it yet. Also, it got a fifth season. Wanted to share Besides who was the target, Sazz or Charles. More Guns doesn't mean more safety in schools

     After the Stoneman Douglas commission led by Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri suggested that school should armed teachers it's been a divisive topic. Heck, I lost a friend because I said he didn't care for his kids and he said among other things I crossed a line. I did I admit especially 1. I don't have kids myself and 2. How would I like it if someone said the same thing to me on me not wanting to arm teachers with guns? I would be pissed too. I know I have said a number of times of Facebook and here that Republicans don't give a shit about their kids. I think when it came to the election in 2016 (and to some extent 2018) a number of people wanted for most themselves like "sorry about your schools and the environment we're about to leave you with but daddy needs a job" or "Mommy needs a job". My dream Challenge season

     Not to be confused in my Gauntlet 2 dream post I did last summer. I wished Danny was still alive to ask him if he would have spared me from the next male elimination if he was team captain. Now back to the present. I'm been trying to figure a number of things really but one of those is what would my dream season of MTV's the Challenge. What if MTV gave me control of a season and who to put in (I know wishful thinking but I'm going there). My choice of format is going to be Bloodlines (I also have another dream format called the Wes vs Bananas but I don't know who I would put in team Wes and team Bananas because I don't know who friendly with either guy so I hold off until I heard from both guys or at least Wes because that bitch Bananas blocked me from Twitter and Instagram and yet I don't regret).
