     As you know the NFL Draft happened and besides a number of Bachelorette parties being ruined (it took place in Nashville where it's apparently the Bachelorette Party of the World/US) NFL teams hope to find several players to build the franchise around especially in the first round. Probably not a surprised that Kyler Murray went number one overall to the Arizona Cardinals and become the first athlete to be draft in the first round in multiple pro leagues. Also, the Cardinals traded away from the first-round pick last year Josh Rosen to the Miami Dolphins. Guessing he wasn't the Rosen one in Arizona and that he can rise like the Phoenix in Miami (too soon?). The Bucs got Devin White, Honestly, I wish they got Linebacker Josh Allen (not to be confused with Bills QB with the same name) who was picked by the Jaguars seventh overall but I hope White can play well.      Unsure if you care or not but just for the heck of it. I'm sure if you been a loyal reader of my blog (probably one or two people) that I haven't talked about politics since my 100th post unless you count the what if Hillary Clinton won the election post. I know Merrick Garland would still waiting for a hearing as a Supreme Court justice. Honestly, I am beyond frustrated of the current political climate. I'm kind of burnt out even though I hadn't really posted that much even with other topics. Some of that is I do work two jobs. Some of that is it seems like no matter what the facts are and who tells that the MAGA assholes are always going to be on Trump's side no matter what. I admit, the Mueller report was a dud or at least for Trump to be vindicated (for now) and have a victory tour.      Before I talk about the Lakers again, I wanted to talk about a slight change on this blog. I change the site name to Floridaguy.blogspot.com because there already was a Florida man blog. Now to the Lakers. Just as I was finished with my previous post about Lebron James and the Lakers and how Lebron was suppose led them to the playoffs and didn't, about an hour or so later Magic Johnson who was one of the main reasons why Lebron when to the Lakers decided to quit as the Lakers President of basketball operations and let the media and everyone else know before telling his boss Jeanie Buss. Really dude? She was like a sister to you and you're going to do her that like. Magic had a close relationship with the Buss family since the late Dr. Jerry Buss owned the Lakers. If you have seen the 30 for 30 about the Celtics-Lakers the first part you know. I think she deserved better than that. If Magic was a cabinet member for Trump, I could see him doing that and not blame Magic...

     I know it's too soon to said because it's only been a season but then again it's Lebron James. The hype was he was going to take the Lakers to the finals even though Paul George and Chris Paul both at one point were rumored to join Lebron to the Lakers but decided to stay in Oklahoma City and Houston respectively. With that, one were think (I did) that if Lebron wanted to ring chase he would join CP3 (Chris Paul) and the beard (James Harden) in Houston and play for the Rockets or join the 76ers to win another title for a swing state, retire, and run for president and one could make the case he could have done that in Texas as well. Hey name one another player in pro sports that won a title in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, I'll wait.      I know I know call me a snowflake because I'm posting this but in fairness, I doubt things would have better if Hillary won the election. Heck, you can make the case things could have been worse. Also, there's no guarantee even if then FBI Director James Comey didn't announce the Clinton-Weiner connection until AFTER the election that Hillary would have won or if he didn't announce it at all. I believe I said this on my Facebook page that more people would be happy whoever won the World Series in 2016 than the Presidental Election because the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians were long-suffering franchises and Clinton and Trump were two of the most unlikeable Presidental Candidates. With how things were in 2016 (and now) either candidate would have been accepted.
