And Lebron was suppose help the Lakers?

I know it's too soon to said because it's only been a season but then again it's Lebron James. The hype was he was going to take the Lakers to the finals even though Paul George and Chris Paul both at one point were rumored to join Lebron to the Lakers but decided to stay in Oklahoma City and Houston respectively. With that, one were think (I did) that if Lebron wanted to ring chase he would join CP3 (Chris Paul) and the beard (James Harden) in Houston and play for the Rockets or join the 76ers to win another title for a swing state, retire, and run for president and one could make the case he could have done that in Texas as well. Hey name one another player in pro sports that won a title in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, I'll wait. However, he decided to concentrate on his media empire including Space Jam 2 plus he already had a place in LA (maybe two) so he decided to sign with the Lakers. Magic Johnson added Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson among others and long story short, Lebron would have been better off in Cleveland. The Cavs would have been 50-50 because Lebron would have led them to the playoffs maybe but he also gave the team salary cap issues because he wanted his supporting cast/buddies to have good money. Probably better off for the Cavs for Lebron to leave plus they got the same chances as the Suns and Knicks to land Zion Williamson from Duke though the Knicks are the favorites especially if Commissioner Adam Silver pulls a David Stern. Let's just say that it wasn't a surprise in the 1985 NBA Draft the New York Knicks got the number one pick which they used on Patrick Ewing as we most of us know became a Hall of Fame center though no championships. For the Lakers, they more than likely aren't getting the top pick or a pick in the top Five. Maybe top 10th but who knows (the Orlando Magic got lucky in the 1993 Draft when they got the top pick despite losing out to the Indiana Pacers in a tiebreaker for the last playoff spot, allowed them to draft Chris Webber and trading him to the Golden State Warriors for Penny Hardaway and that work well for the Magic for a few seasons though again no titles). Right now, the Lakers have the 11th worst record in the NBA. So the chances are slim but not impossible (the Magic had the 11th worst record when they got the first overall pick in 1993). However, the Lakers can get a free agent or two so maybe things will be better next season depending on the health of Lebron and how many stars they get and also how the first round pick does. Of course, can they get another star or two this upcoming offseason? Also, some things to talk about before I end this post. Wanted to say congrats the Orlando Magic aka the closest NBA team Tampa has for making the playoffs the first time in seven seasons and congrats to the Lightning for tying the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings for most wins in an NHL season.  Just hope they win the Stanley Cup otherwise it's not going to mean a thing. I can cross out going to a NBA game off my goals list because I went to the New Orleans Pelicans-Phoenix Suns game and got a pic of one of my favorite sports reporters Jennifer Hale. Also prior to that game, my dad suggested going the D-Backs game which started at 4:10 (the Suns game started at 7:00). We were able to get tickets (it was the home opener for the D-Backs) and stayed for four innings before going to the Suns game (which was their home finale and both teams Arizona teams won). Also, I'm going make a slight change on this blog.
