What if Hillary won the election
I know I know call me a snowflake because I'm posting this but in fairness, I doubt things would have better if Hillary won the election. Heck, you can make the case things could have been worse. Also, there's no guarantee even if then FBI Director James Comey didn't announce the Clinton-Weiner connection until AFTER the election that Hillary would have won or if he didn't announce it at all. I believe I said this on my Facebook page that more people would be happy whoever won the World Series in 2016 than the Presidental Election because the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians were long-suffering franchises and Clinton and Trump were two of the most unlikeable Presidental Candidates. With how things were in 2016 (and now) either candidate would have been accepted. Republicans in Congress were getting ready to impeach Hillary Day Damn One actually not even that, they were planning to impeach her even the election based on Comey's announcement. There's a chance our current president would have been Tim Kaine which would have been alright especially if would have been American's TV dad as the leader. OK, he wasn't an actor but people said he looked like a guy who plays the dad in a TV Family Sitcom (I could see that). Also, a guy who owns his Sausage Company a la Jimmy Dean (again I could see that). Ok granted the Republicans would not have had enough Senators to impeach Clinton and I highly doubt any Democratic Senators would have voted to impeached Clinton without concrete evidence against her. Republican would have kept going after her over her emails. Would Fox News turn up the heat against her? What am I saying, of course, they would have and they would not have been the only channel to do that. Remember there were rumors of a Trump Channel when we thought Trump would have lost and Roger Ailes was going to run it? That channel would have happened and a number of Fox News people who were still loyal to Ailes would have joined him like O'Reilly, Hannity, most of Fox and Friends among others. It would have been an interesting fight for talent between Fox News and the Trump Channel off-camera but they would have been allies in the fight against Clinton on-camera. Also, Trump Channel more than likely hired that nutbag Alex Jones to air on the Channel. Also, Trump more than likely would have used his channel to give his commentary. Keep in mind, even if he did lose Trump still would have been popular to his followers. Heck, he probably would have still done rallies after losing and stroking his base and saying the same things he's saying now. White House would do their best to said everything is fine and we got this but most people on the right wouldn't believe it. Probably meaning we would have had a Red Storm (as opposed as the Blue Wave) in the mid-terms in 2018 and it probably would have been messy as the Republican would have kept control of both houses and probably more seats like they did in 2018 and state legislatures would have everything to prevent Democratic voters from voting. Would the Republicans get enough Senate seats to impeach Hillary? Maybe, I like to say no but if people were content like they were in 2010 things would have been ugly for the Democrats in 2018. The biggest strength Trump has is he's a master promoter. He has promoted mostly crap but people are buying his crap like hotcakes. It's true now and it would have been true if Hillary would have won. Hillary would have been a lame duck president (best case scenario) thanks to a Republican congress that wouldn't work with her and the judges she nominated would have been because of Bitch McConnell and his wet-dream to fill judges spot with conservative judges. Sorry for the image though I could have said worse. Unsure if there would be legitimate reasons to impeach Hillary but I'm sure the Republicans would have done there best. Sorry to paint a grim picture but that's how our country is divided and we would have been screwed no matter who the president was. Also if you wanted to know how things been with Bernie as president, I think things would have been slightly better though Republicans would have fought hard against his policies and of course the Trump Channel.
