Maybe I should call this Cancel Cops Shows, Really? Part 2 as well. Cop Show has been popular since the early days of TV (heck probably since the days of radio) with Dragnet, then came Highway Patrol, Dragnet spin-off Adam-12, CHIPS, among others in the 1960s and 1970s. Then came Hill Street Blues which changed Cop Shows and also another show by Steven Bochco NYPD Blue, and The Shield. Their still popular with it seems like half of CBS programming, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Law and Order shows (which includes the Elliott Stabler spin-off also prepare for Christopher Meloni return to SVU, welcome back Chris) Chicago PD, the Rookie, among others. Most people's perceptions of cops are because of Police Shows and those shows glorify cops as Trevor Noah said on the Daily Show on June 25th, also he told creators, writers, and producers of those shows that been tweeting about things needed to change with the police that they should do something about it on their shows. Granted ye...

I am for police reforms because shit needs to change. However, are we really going to cancel all cops show because of things in real life? I hate to go there especially against my fellow liberals but really? It started with Cops and Live PD being canceled. Honestly, don't we want more cameras on Police Officers, not less? Though if it's true about Live PD filmed a guy dying in police custody then I would agree with their cancellation. There are people who are trying to get Paw Patrol canceled, Really? A cartoon dog with a Police Cap is the problem? Last I checked that Police Dog hasn't killed any unarmed black people. Also, in the cartoon world, Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam will be without guns for the new Looney Tunes relaunch. Really? I grew with classic Looney Tunes and I had no problem with them being armed. Heck, I think one of the best scenes in Space Jam was when Elmer and Sam together going all Pulp Fiction shoot the teeth off one of the Monstars after he was ...

I've been silent on politics for a long way and after what happened to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, David McAtee, among others along with the protest and riots that happened last weekend including in my hometown of Tampa. I'm sad, hurt, pissed, angry, upset, disappointed among other words what happened in my hometown along with the rest of the country. I know that area well. I used to frequent the University Mall. Sad that a few people chose to make a peaceful protest terrible and why? For Air Jordans, jewelry, TVs? That's not going to help the situation we're in, it's making worse. McAtee was killed during a protest where cops and National Guardsmen were dispersing the crowd in Louisville. There was a retired St Police Police Captain who was black who was killed while defending a store of his friend. People died in riots. I support the peaceful protesters because they're tired of police officers getting away from murdering unarmed black men but they need ...

Hard to believe that the best basketball of all time wasn't the first overall selection or even the second. Ok not really Tom Brady is considered the best Quarterback of all time and he was a sixth-rounder and Joe Montana was a third-rounder. Heck, some of the all-time greats didn't come through the draft like Babe Ruth who was bought out by the Red Sox or Wayne Gretzky who was with the Edmonton Oilers when they entered the NHL coming from the WHA. Granted you could consider Peyton Manning, Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Lebron James (more about him and Jordan later) an all-time greats and they were number one overall picks. Hey, wherever you can get a great player, am I right? Also, you're thinking if you're team drafts, someone, in the top five, top ten, you're hoping that player changes the fortunes of your team. There was great hype for Michael Jordan in Chicago when the Bulls got him three overall. Heck from earlier, teams tried to make a deal with th...

There's been a lot of debate if Michael Jordan was the reason why Isiah Thomas was not on the Dream Team and in the Last Dance Documentary Jordan said If people want to blame him for that then be my guess but I didn't do it. I don't think he was the only reason why Isiah didn't make the team. Jordan wasn't the only guy that Thomas pissed off but he more than likely was the main reason why. Jack McCallum who wrote the book about the Dream Team in 2012 and recently on his podcast (the Dream Team Podcast because why not milk it for all it's worth) aired a recording of Michael saying he would not play if Isiah was on the team. Let's get to why Isiah and Michael went at it. From a previous post, Isiah Thomas was from Chicago and tried to go down in the 1981 Draft to his hometown Bulls which Jack McCloskey aka trader Jack basically said "I know what you're doing and I'll still draft you anyway" Funny how that works out. Plus Michael Jordan w...

As you know that Michael Jordan was drafted third overall in the 1984 NBA Draft behind Hakeem Olajuwon and Sam Bowie. What some of you know, not everyone knows that there were a number of teams willing to trade up for the chance at getting Michael Jordan. So it could have been possible that Michael Jordan could have played for another team. I know you can probably say that about every player at least most players either in the draft (Joe Montana and Brady were passed by every team at least twice, for Brady five times) and during their career (Kobe Bryant in that special with Shaq said he thought he was the one going to be Traded to Chicago [how fitting] and was looking homes and schools for their kids in Chicago). Among those teams were the Dallas Mavericks (who had the 4th pick and the 15th pick as well), The Seattle Supersonics because why not, and believe or not the Houston Rockets would have had another chance to give Jordan and surprisingly said "no" and when I ...

I started to talk about how Jordan and the Bulls could have added two rings if not for the Bad Boy Pistons in a previous post. However, I started to think about maybe if Jordan didn't take the detour to play Baseball maybe the Bulls would have won 10 titles. The downside in my opinion of Jordan's Baseball Journey. I'll admit, a part of would have like to see Michael Jordan play in the Major League and joined Bo Jackson, Brian Jordan, Deion Sanders among others playing in multiple pro sports leagues and who knows Tim Tebow might join. However, it seemed right with the world that MJ came back to the NBA. However, what would have happened if Michael Jordan decided to stay in the NBA? There's a possibility that the Bulls would have won 10 straight titles (or at least 9 out of 10 titles). Would have been something if the Bulls faced off against the Houston Rockets in the NBA Finals in 1994? They already have beaten the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1992 finals, Jordan g...
