Cancel Cop Shows, Really?

I am for police reforms because shit needs to change. However, are we really going to cancel all cops show because of things in real life? I hate to go there especially against my fellow liberals but really? It started with Cops and Live PD being canceled. Honestly, don't we want more cameras on Police Officers, not less? Though if it's true about Live PD filmed a guy dying in police custody then I would agree with their cancellation. There are people who are trying to get Paw Patrol canceled, Really? A cartoon dog with a Police Cap is the problem? Last I checked that Police Dog hasn't killed any unarmed black people. Also, in the cartoon world, Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam will be without guns for the new Looney Tunes relaunch. Really? I grew with classic Looney Tunes and I had no problem with them being armed. Heck, I think one of the best scenes in Space Jam was when Elmer and Sam together going all Pulp Fiction shoot the teeth off one of the Monstars after he was about to attack Wile Coyote. Plus Elmer is a hunter hunting wabbits (cue the Elmer laugh). I'm sure Daffy Duck is happy (he's the one that usually gets shot by Elmer Fudd). Also, which other cops shows are in the crossfire? I'll admit I do watch Cop shows past and present like the NCIS (all three of them), Chicago P.D., Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Adam-12, CHIPs (the show not the movie), among others. Also, I saw the Shield where Vic Mackey killed my cousin (OK Not really but I joke about sometimes, still upset, shoutout to Reed Diamond). I think if the Shield was around today (it ended in 2008), either it would have been canceled immediately or had a leading character with Mackey in handcuffs. Granted some of these shows have talked about situations like this like Brooklyn Nine-Nine where a patrolman arrested Sergeant Terry Jeffords (played Terry Crews). Jeffords later have a complaint against the officer which Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) was against at first but later supported and recently in another crime drama starting CCH Pounder, NCIS New Orleans where a New Orleans detective shot and killed a sailor in front of a hundred or so witnesses mistaken his cell phone for a gun (heard that one before, Stephon Clark anyone?) and one of his defenders was a black detective who was dating Pounder's Medical Examiner character. Ultimately, he wasn't arrested which I think was a big mistake on the writers. That detective should have been in handcuffs (then again, the officers who shot Clark were cleared as well). Though he did resign from the department (the cop from the episode of NCIS: New Orleans). I don't think Cop shows will end after George Floyd however I do think they will be different same with movies about cops. In Chicago PD, Atwater turned in a racist white officer then was confronted by the cop's buddies who were pissed he turned in their buddy in the season finale last season. When they return (the show was renewed three more seasons) whenever that would be I have a feeling this going to continue with a chance Atwater dies or is seriously wounded by the racist cops (Keep in Mind the Chicago series has a history of either killing off and/or writing off characters on the shows especially PD where they've done it every season expect season two I believe). It would be the racist cops kill or injured Atwater and Hank Voight taking them down. Nothing against LaRoyce Hawkins but I believe the only person not expandable in the Chicago shows is Jason Beghe aka Hank Voight and even with him, I'm not really sure. Hank Voight is a police detective you would want off the streets. He came in the Chicago series universe doing that he could to get Matt Casey to protect his son from facing charges after the son was drinking and driving (BIG NO NO) and hitting other vehicle causing one of the people to be paralyzed and Voight made Casey's life a living nightmare. Ultimately, both Voights served time and Hank got a deal to get back on the force working with Internal Affairs (TV show, go figure) where the show Chicago PD started. Among other things, Voight killed the guy who killed his son and set up a fellow police officer who was investigating him (and whom he had a history with) who happened to be black played by Myketli Williamson. I don't think that would fly in with the Black Lives Matter organization. Though I don't see them doing a Chicago PD without Beghe then again would be interesting if  Halstead took over the Intelligence Unit by season 10. I could see that. I like to Denny Woods (Williamson) come back and get back at Voight and I think he will the next time based on current events. Also, I would like to see Terry Jeffords now a lieutenant get back at the officer who arrested him. That's what I like to see. Also, where's Derek Haas?
