Enough is Enough
I've been silent on politics for a long way and after what happened to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, David McAtee, among others along with the protest and riots that happened last weekend including in my hometown of Tampa. I'm sad, hurt, pissed, angry, upset, disappointed among other words what happened in my hometown along with the rest of the country. I know that area well. I used to frequent the University Mall. Sad that a few people chose to make a peaceful protest terrible and why? For Air Jordans, jewelry, TVs? That's not going to help the situation we're in, it's making worse. McAtee was killed during a protest where cops and National Guardsmen were dispersing the crowd in Louisville. There was a retired St Police Police Captain who was black who was killed while defending a store of his friend. People died in riots. I support the peaceful protesters because they're tired of police officers getting away from murdering unarmed black men but they need to remain peaceful. They are risking coronavirus for this. I'm tired of this shit as well and I'm not a black person. Not enough to protest (yet, never said never) but I'm tired of it. Hey, I believe that most cops are good cops however, I think it's more than a few "bad apples" in police departments. There are hundreds of cases police officers (probably closer to a number in the thousands) where killed people and only a handful of them were charged and convicted. Why? A number of reasons like prosecutors are pussies when it comes to prosecuting cops (but prosecutors have no problems padding their conviction stats against everyone else instead of making sure they got the right guy/girl) and the Police Unions. Hey, usually I'm pro-union and I do support them helping cops getting good wages and make sure that they get the equipment they need (though there's some debate some of the equipment they need) but to shield them from the law when a bad cop fucks up is wrong. They shouldn't get in the way of justice. A complaint, fine but not when a kills someone or on video beating up someone. Also, Police Unions should be barred from paying District Attorney campaign contributions. If you seen Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, the Sacramento Union paid 13K to the District Attorney AFTER two officers shot and killed Stephon Clark and guess what she refused to press criminal charges against them. Also, that Patriot Act episode that talked about The Broken Policing System aired not even a year ago including where he talks about warrior training cops take. Heck, John Oliver talked about the Police a number of times during his show including after the Michael Brown shooting in 2014 where he talked about the shooting and Police Militarization. He also covered Police Accountability in 2016 before the election. In 2014, Michael Brown, Laquan McDonald, and Eric Garner were killed by police officers, and only the officer who killed McDonald was convicted and is serving time. The Obama Administration did enact Police Reforms. Sadly, when Trump took office, he and his little bitch Sessions remove them because they didn't want police officers to be handcuffed (no pun intended) while doing their jobs. Also, Sessions not to be confused of Trump's other little Bitch Lil Marco and his main whore Bitch McConnell. Would George Floyd still be alive if Hillary Clinton was in office? Honestly, I don't know. I'm sure there's going to be issues and incidents even if there are Police Reforms. If anything they would cut down unarmed people (especially black people) from getting shot by police. Shit needs to change. We need to vote people who will hold the cops accountable for when they messed big time. Also, we need to demand change from our current officeholders and police department. If the officeholders don't want to do it, then vote them out (November 3rd) nationally and locally as well. Also, demand police department provide protection for cops who turn in bad cops without the fear of retaliation. Also, if you want to volunteer, donate, and support black businesses do that. I know one thing I am done with Trump being president. On November 3rd (more than likely sooner because I get my ballot via mail), I will vote for Joe Biden because I don't want another four years of that asshole. Also, it's just not a black and white issue, it's an issue for everyone regardless of race, creed, gender, etc.
