Sainz to Williams

Honestly, I'm surprised that Carlos Sainz went to Williams. I thought he would have got to Red Bull or Mercedes though Red Bull decided to keep Sergio Perez for some reason. Granted Liam Lawson or Daniel Riccardo or Yuki Tsunoda had a better chance at the seat than Sainz though was a Red Bull junior some time ago. Maybe throw in Isack Hadjar, a Red Bull junior who is currently leading the F2 standings. Also, what's good about having a junior program if you're not promoting your juniors to F1? Ok why didn't Sainz sign with Mercedes which would have been fitting since Lewis Hamilton took Sainz's Ferrari seat however Mercedes is looking to promote their junior driver Kimi Antonelli. In one hand, it is nice to see a team promote someone from the junior team but really? One, we don't know if Antonelli will finish in the top 5 in F2 to get enough points for a super license and shouldn't Antonelli be the one in Williams and have Sainz at Mercedes? I wonder what happens now if Antonelli doesn't get enough points for a super license? So that ruled out the big teams, Sauber had a chance especially since they would rebrand as Audi for 2026. Also, Alpine arguably the worst team in Formula 1 though Sauber is the only team without any points also joined the Sainz sweepstakes but ultimately Williams now. I like the driver lineup. Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz would be a good lineup however they raced for Williams who are the second-worst team points-wise. I havd so much hope they would do better or stay the same as last season and maybe even complete for a podium or two. That hasn't happened and could it happen in the last ten races. Maybe but I highly doubt it. Is anyone going to wonder what's going to happen to Logan Sargeant? More than likely not but he's likely done in F1. I don't see Sauber, Alpine, Mercedes, or Visa Cash App Red Bull signing him so he's going into Indycar next season where he's rumored to have a deal with Prema. He was the reason why I became a Williams fan but I can't defend him, who could at this point? Of his 36 races in Formula 1 he's only gotten points one time and that was because Hamilton and Charles Leclerc DQed in the US Grand Prix in Austin. Right now, I think Mick Schumacher has a better chance at a second shot of an F1 seat than Sargeant unless Liberty Media decided to tell the other ten teams to fuck off and add Andretti to the grid in 2026. The cars in 2026 would be small enough. It would have been nice to see another American team with an all-American lineup of Sargeant and Jak Crawford. Maybe I can see him stay in F1 if he has a great run in the next ten races. We won't know until the season resumes on August 25th. Hey, it could happen. With the news of Sainz joining Williams and Sargeant saying Bye, Bye, Bye does this mean I cheer for another team. Right now, I'm leaning towards saying with Williams. Carlos Sainz was one of the few drivers I would stay for. I could cheer for McLaren but they could be on their way of another civil war. Hey, if F1 teams want to recruit me like college football coaches do to recruits then have at it.
