NCIS at 1000 Episodes

Actually 1,001 after Hawaii aired after NCIS 1000 episodes and more to come since NCIS and Sydney got renewed (still waiting on Hawaii to get renewed) and Origins coming in the Fall. Again, it's only the second franchise to reach that milestone with Law and Order. CSI has over 800 episodes and Chicago has about 650. Will one of those Franchises join them? Maybe the Chicago franchise especially now with CSI: Vegas getting canceled. Well, it's 1003 now since I started this Post last week.I like to say I've seen all of them but I believe I've missed some NCIS LA episodes. I'm debating if I should talk about the 1,000th episode of NCIS since I'm unsure how many of my three viewers watch NCIS and/or have seen the episode. You know what, I'll talk about it (SPOILER ALERT just in case no one has seen the episode or hasn't caught up yet). If you remember The Pilot (Yankee White), it was about a Naval Officer who carried the football aka the Nuclear Codes died suddenly and it turned out he was poisoned. Turned out, he wasn't the only one. The Naval Officer actually replaced a Marine Officer who was supposed to carry the football but it was ill and the Marine Major, the original target, later died from the same thing that killed the Naval Officer. He was poisoned. NCIS special agent and team leader Leroy Jethro Gibbs played by Mark Harmon got a ride on the new Air Force One thanks to Secret Service Kaitlin Todd though he had to be unarmed which he agreed to. Turns out the poisoning of the football carriers was actually a distract to the main target: the president. There was another poisoning, this time it was a journalist but that was a distraction from the terrorist disguise is another journalist to get a weapon from the armory as the poisoning was a ploy to get the Secret Service to switch planes to be Air Force One. Gibbs grabs a gun from a open armory goes after the terrorist who was blocked by the third football carrier and then Gibbs confronts the terrorist. It ended with Gibbs killing the terrorist. If you're wondering, the President was Bush, yes that's how long the show has been on for and No, it was President Bush it was an actor portraying Bush. Why do I mention this? The villain was the daughter of the terrorist from the pilot and like her dad, she tried to assassinate the president though it was closer as Alden Parker (Gibbs' replacement) and his team blocked Air Force One from taking off after they called the secret service about the threat but the Secret Service dragged their feet even after they were warned about the threat with Air Force One. So it was a Full Circle moment. It's been on 21 seasons, soon to be 22 and only Sean Murray and Brian Dietzen have been there since season 1 though they recurred then. Everyone else has moved on and in David MacCullum's case passed away. I'm disappointed that Mark Harmon didn't have a cameo on the episode and the same goes for New Orleans not being represented when Hawaii and LA was, other than that it was a good episode. Can't wait for what next NCIS and it's spinoffs and really hope Hawaii gets renew.
