Was the bullet for Charles or Sazz?
If you saw the Only Murders in the Building season three finale (if you haven't and like the show, SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!! DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS UNTIL YOU WATCH THE EPISODE) You saw that the mother and son duo who were also the producers of Oliver's show Death Razzle Dazzle were arrested for the attempted murder and the actual murder of Ben Gilroy (well actually the son Cliff would more than likely get charged with involuntary manslaughter) following the end of the show which Oliver (Martin Short) took over as the lead after Ben's understudy can't perform in the last minute and the show being a success. Unsure how much Donna and Cliff will get. I'm guessing they get off with lighter sentences especially if Donna pleads to a deal to help her son get the lightest possible sentence. I doubt Cliff serves the ten years Mabel's friend Oscar got, probably not even half that. Anyway, the cast and crew celebrate their opening night success and rave reviews. Also, Loretta and Tolbert celebrate their success leading them to LA though they have to leave their significant others Oliver and Mabel. Also, Sazz, Charles' body double from his show Brazzos shows up to celebrate with them. She ends up going to Charles' apartment to get champagne from his place only to be shot by a sniper. Presumably, it was meant for Charles and I think that's how Season 4 is going to start and yes, there will be a season four. I'm guessing the NYPD puts a protection detail for Charles and possibly Mabel and Oliver if they think the killer was a big hater of their podcast or maybe he just hates Charles or they hired private security to watch over them. In the first season, Oliver did tell Charles he was less liked than Tim Kono (the victim of that season). Also, Charles had Ben Gilroy (third-season victim) fired from Brazzos at eight years old. He's not really a people person. Other than Mabel and Oliver, the only friends he has are Sazz whose no more (sorry) and Lucy though she's more of a daughter to him. I think that's about it. Maybe he pissed someone at the apartment who hasn't been seen yet and/or doesn't like the reputation the apartment complex is getting because of the podcast or he got the part of Brazzos and maybe another actor who was up for the part didn't get it and was pissed at him or maybe it was someone who they accused of murder and later cleared but maybe it still followed with them Thanks to the podcast. Could it be the murders from the show? I doubt it since Jan and Poppy/Becky are locked up, Teddy (Nathan Lane) probably would go after Oliver first, Theo is letting Mabel stay with him, and Donna and Cliff are going through the legal process. The only person I can think of is Michael Rapaport's detective character from the second season. I should say former detective since he was arrested for Piper's plots. He probably got charged with Aiding and Abetting and his planning of evidence in Oklahoma so probably not going to serve as much as time as Poppy. I can make a case he sold out Piper hard and the district attorney went easy on him because of his service with the NYPD. Plus he was trained to shoot by the NYPD. Granted yes, was his character trained to be a sniper? Unlikely but who knows. He had to have training in a pistol, shotgun, and an AR-15. So it wouldn't be much of a step-up. Yes, the bullet could have been meant for Sazz and maybe it was, we don't know much about Sazz. I'm sure we will since the show has dig into the life of the victim in the first three seasons so far and I'm sure they will with Sazz. I can make a case that Will Schuester is the killer. I know different show but Matthew Morrison would be great as a guest star/recurring role. Also, would we see the show take place in Los Angeles? I can make a case that Brazzos comes back only to move production to LA to protect Charles and Oliver and Mabel follows him to see their significant others from the third season unless they give Mabel another love interest. I kind of want to see the show do an episode or several in LA and have the killer follow them there, the murder happened in the Building already. I'm sure the writers are working on some ideas. Hopefully, the Actors' strike ends soon. Granted, they shot in December or early in the new year in the previous three seasons so hopefully the deal would be done by then. Hopefull is as good as the previous seasons.
