Which show deserve a second chance?

I had a thought recently of which of my favorite shows were canceled by CBS that should get at least another season or a reboot in general. Sorry Magnum PI isn't one of them. I did watch the show until recently when my work schedule changed. I like the show but these next three shows I liked more than Magnum PI though it does suck because I was hoping for Magnum/NCIS Hawaii crossover. Honestly, I don't think I could pick one if I had to because I like them. Maybe two and move one to Paramount Plus. My List is Scorpion, MacGvyer (reboot one), and NCIS New Orleans.

Scorpion was about a team of super-geniuses working as Contractors for Homeland Security with Agent Cabe Gallo and one-time waitress and single-mom Paige. Also, Paige's son Ralph is a genius as well. Of the shows I listed, their finale hurt the most because it ended in a cliffhanger.  After nearly three seasons, us the viewers got to see Walter (the leader of the group) and Paige finally declare their love for each other in the second to the last episode of the third season during the wedding of two of the member Toby and Happy. The relationship seemed strong until Florence showed up. Things went sour in the season four/series finale as everyone but Cabe left team Scorpion and Walt. The final scene was Team Scorpion (Walter, Florence, and Cabe) pitching their idea to a company while the former Scorpion members formed their own team pitching their own idea.

The case for: I can see this as a possible reboot. Years has passed with Walter and Florence married or engaged, same with Paige and Tim (who worked Scorpion as a DHS agent with Cabe during the second and third seasons). Toby and Happy have a kid maybe two while working on owning a mechanic shop and Sylvester doing a few things. Ralph working on his master's while in High School. Cabe being retired from Homeland but still working for team Scorpion and married Aly (his girlfriend during the show). Ultimately, There's a situation where the current director of Homeland rounds up the team to solve a huge problem. Despite the tension early on from years past, they solve the problem and the director convinces them to team up once again which they agree to.

The case against: The show doesn't have the stain power as MacGvyer or an NCIS spinoff. Plus Robert Patrick (Cabe Gallo) is as of now doing Peacemaker.

MacGyver was a reboot of  the 1985-1992 show though it closely resembled Scorpion though MacGyver was the genius teaming with muscle in Jack Dalton and later Desi after George Eads (Dalton) left, a hacker Riley, and his best friend Bozer with their boss Matty and later added Russ Taylor watching over them. Also, a blown opportunity by CBS not having a MacGvyer and Scorpion crossover. The show did have a finale of sorts where the Phoenix Foundation decides to stop working for the Government and work independently.

The case for: I would have liked to see them doing independent jobs which one includes Bozer work as a film director while also doing a mission as well. Also, to see the love triangle between Mac, Riley, and Desi. For the Season Finale, the Government forces the Phoenix Foundation to either work for them or be shut down. They chose to be shut down. I read somewhere that for Season Six, the show would fast foward a few years where Mac and Riley are together and has a kid and they had everyone else still at the Phoenix Foundation. I disagree, I see that more as season seven with the Government tracking down Mac's team to coming back to work at the Phoenix Foundation.

The case against: I don't really see one. Probably the one I would pick though see if I could get the Scorpion cast to reunite for a MacGyver episode or two.

NCIS New Orleans: Like the Original show NCIS though in New Orleans, they solve cases involving the Navy and the Marine Corp. Like MacGvyer it had a finale of sorts with Dewayne Pride (their version of Leroy Jethro Gibbs) marrying his sweetheart Rita while his team later got called in on a case during the reception.

The Case for: I believe there was some storylines the show had at least for one more season. Pride with his new wife and son who he had with Sasha Broussard, who was a part of the Broussard crime family he dealt with. Plus another two sons that Rita had with her first husband. Also, the romance between Agent Carter and Khoury, the marriage of Pride's daughter Laurel, and I wanted to complete end of the crooked cops storyline from season seven which didn't end to my liking. They were fired but not arrested.

The Case against: The ages of Scott Bakula and CCH Pounder especially since Bakula is a few years younger than his NCIS counterpart Mark Harmon (he was the Executive Producer for New Orleans) who is on a part-time basis plus Pounder is doing Avatar sequels. Could Michael Weatherly return as Tony Dinozzo if Bakula decides not to return? Plus would the cast and crew return to New Orleans?

There's my list. I would have MacGvyer return on CBS, NCIS: New Orleans on Paramount Plus for a season, and Scorpion reunite through MacGvyer with an option to return. What's your choice? Comment below.
