150th post
This is my 150th post since I started this blog. I started mostly talk about politics because I attempted to run against Kathy Castor in the primary for the US Congress where I didn't qualify to be on the ballot. Will I run again? Never say Never. I've been on and off with this post for a few reasons mostly working two jobs and more than likely not wanting to do anything after work with the expectation of Kickball. No wonder my social life was limited even for the CoronaVirus pandemic hit. Now I have an excuse, well except for the time I work for my essential retail job (My other job is on hiatus). I said it a few times but I'll ask it again. I had plans in March that were canceled and I probably won't play kickball until either the summer or the fall. I've been thinking about what to write about on my 150th post. In the beginning, I talk politics because again I was running for office and I talked about what I was going to do when I took office. I still talked about politics after my run ended because I didn't qualify though not lately because I've been increasingly frustrated about the system especially since it's being run mostly by Republicans. I know there's the House of Representatives but Trump needs to go along with some of his buddies from the GOP especially in the Senate including Bitch McConnell. They've defended him on mostly everything and it's been a disaster in the country. Especially now with thousands of people dying of the Coronavirus. If he paid attention to the first reports of the Coronavirus which he got in January maybe late 2019, this country would have been in much better shape. Granted, yes people still would have got it and people would still die from it but I believe it would have been around the numbers of that South Korea has. Probably more like Great Britain's number. Instead, we have (as of April 9th) Nearly a half a Million cases and nearly 15,000 people who died from the Coronavirus. Also, I wonder how many people are blaming this on Florida because our Governor Ron Desantis refused to close the beaches during the early days of the pandemic which happened during Spring Break and when sports leagues started to suspend/cancel their seasons and didn't close the beaches until after Spring Break. Also, Desantis held off from issuing a stay at home order for weeks until he finally issued one. Heck, his excuse for why he didn't issue one early was because he said that New Yorkers were fleeing to Florida to escape from New York's restrict stay at home orders even though were wasn't evidence proving his claim. This is not the time to lie about this shit. Why not, Florida can be blamed for a number of things so why not one more? Trump doesn't want to take any responsibility for any of this. So much for the Buck stop here. Also, Bitch McConnell blamed the impeachment for Trump's slow response. Never mind, he ignored a number of early warnings and call it a hoax to begin with and Fox News basically following suit costing one of the on-air talent (Trish Regan) her job and she's the only one to be fired. Either fire everyone or no one, none of this selective enforcement bullshit. Also, I have a bone to pick from Lil Marco Rubio saying that the media was gleeful post the numbers. Does he know that members of the media have died from the Coronavirus and two people from CNN (Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin) have it. Not to mention Thou Shall Not Lie and Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness Lil Marco. I know I know, what's done is done and we just need to stand in there and continue to follow the social distancing of each other and show support of Health Care/Hospital workers, First Responders, Janitors, Grocery Store/Big Box Retailers, Delivery Drivers, and others who are workers to help the rest of us. We need to just hang in there, I don't know for how long but stay strong.
