When is enough going to be enough?

How many mass shootings is it going to take for Congress to pass legislation on gun control? We had 22 die in El Paso and 9 die in Dayton in mass shootings over the weekend and that's not counting the Garlic Festival where three people died (including two kids) a few weeks ago. For the record, I can't blame this solely on the Republicans because I'm sure Democrats have an equal amount of blame because they're been in power and done nothing to stop this. Plus the NRA pays politicians on both parties and yes I'm going to say it, Liberals have been shooters as well. The Dayton guy was liberal and so was the guy who shot at Republican lawmakers wounding one of them while they were practicing for a baseball game and yet nothing was done about it. Guessing Steve Scalise's medical bills were paid by the NRA. Ok, I better stop at comments like that especially for the rest of this post. This shouldn't be a Republican-Democrat issue, it should be a Right and Wrong issue. This country rather it be through the national government or state government (preferably both) need to pass gun control like banning assault rifles. The only civilians that need assault rifles are police officers, that's it. However, if you currently own an assault rifle(s) and you have a clean record you should keep your guns. Plus if the government did have come after your guns, we would have a second civil war where thousands are killed and we would like to avoid that. If you do have those weapons and want to get rid of them, that would be nice but on a voluntary basis. Also, we should have universal backgrounds checks mental health screening and bring back law banning people with mental health from owning guns. If you want to say it's a mental health issue then OK put more money into programs to help with a mental health issue and not just say it's a mental health issue, call it a day, and do jackshit about it. Plus it's only a small fraction of gun violence if any. Not saying nothing needs to be done with Mental Health which it does. We shouldn't just stop at Mental Health. I believe we have a bigger problem with White Supremacists than we do people with mental health. The El Paso shooter, the Pittsburgh shooter, and the Florida mail bomber were Trump supporters and white supremacists. Yes, you can make a case what they hated before Trump run for president but Trump added more fuel to already dangerous fire. He needs to speak against this for the sake of his grandkids (Jared and Ivanka's kids are being raised Jewish). Also, he and the GOP needs to stop blaming violent video games, violent movies, media, among others though it would be nice if the media can cut down on talking about Trump but he'll complain about not giving enough media coverage. Also we need to stop this hateful rhetoric both sides (I know I know but let's be honest liberals can't claim innocence). I admit, I'm part of the problem. I know I've said some hateful language to the Republicans including a certain US Senator from Kentucky. Bottom Line I don't care what party you follow or on, if a person is racist or not, the color of ones skin color, male or female, etc. it doesn't matter you shouldn't have a gun then you shouldn't have a gun and congress (state and national) should make laws banning people who shouldn't have guns. We need action. Thoughts and Prayers are nice, Actually doing something about it is better.
