NCIS (the Show) and the Crazy Theory going around
I just want to clarify I'm talking about the show, not the Real NCIS which the show is about though there is/was a show where they do cover actually cases of the Real NCIS, a part of the 48 Hours show narrated by Rocky Carroll who plays Director. I know I don't talk a lot about pop culture other than the Challenge and comedy shows. I enjoy watching the NCIS shows (NCIS, Los Angeles, and New Orleans) though those shows has had its problems with New Orleans had not one but two show frontrunners being forced out because of the #MeToo Movement, also they're considering from New Orleans because of Louisiana's abortion law, and there's NCIS with Mark Harmon, his dog, and Bitegate I'll say. Harmon likes to bring his pitbull on set, OK no problem probably not uncommon for actors to bring their pets to sets, however Harmon's dog bit a crew member and even after that Mark kept bringing his dog to the set. If that was another actor, that dog would be banned and the actor would be punished which would include being fired from the show but Mark Harmon got away from it not because he's also an executive producer but people ahead of are afraid to doing anything about it. Between seasons five and six, Harmon and creator Donald Bellisario clashed over work schedule of the show and ultimately CBS sided with Harmon and Bellisario left the show. I think the people above Harmon are afraid to do something because of what happened about 12 years. Pauley Perrette who played Abby did speak up against it and was bullied by Mark Harmon with the bosses being spineless. It got so bad that in the 15th season Harmon refused to do a scene with Perrette and it was Perrette last season. She said on twitter, she not coming back so don't expect a reunion. Personally, I sided with Perrette mostly because Mark Harmon has a history with this not only with Perrette and Bellisario but also with Diane Neal. Neal had a recurring role as CGIS Agent Abigail Borin on both NCIS and the New Orleans and then she complained about working conditions on the set of the New Orleans Edition. It came back to the higher-ups including Harmon who also is an executive producer of the New Orleans edition and long story short, Bye-Bye Neal. I don't know if she got blackballed by the NCIS bosses but she hasn't acted since 2015 and ran for congress last year. Also unsure if she blew an opportunity to be a regular on one of the shows. If it happens once ok, it didn't work out but this happened multiple times, it's a pattern. I hate to said Mark Harmon is an ASSHOLE but he is. He's just as vindicate as Trump (yeah I went there). I admit he is a good actor and the glue that holds the show together (especially with all those casting changes where is only him and David McCallum who plays Ducky the Medical Examiner turned Historian are the only regulars from season 1). I think Harmon should have won multiple Emmy as Leroy Jethro Gibbs (same with Linda Hunt as Hetty on the LA show). I don't know why exactly the NCIS show doesn't get Emmy considerations. However, he's gotten away with some stuff most actors would get fired from. Unsure if the upcoming 17th season is the end or Harmon's last season but I saw this rumor that if the 17th season is his last Cote De Pablo as Ziva David would return as the team leader. If you saw the season finale last season, you saw Ziva make a return after a five-year absence to warn Gibbs of an upcoming attack. I know I don't if it was for real or Gibbs' imagine like his ex-wife in the same episode but it's leaning towards for real with the rumor, hinting of a Ziva come back during the season, and also another rumor of a Tony and Ziva reunion. Honestly, I don't see it. Nothing against Ziva but I just don't see her being the team leader, same with the other people on the show even though Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) was for a time. Maybe Jack Sloane (Maria Bello) but I don't know if she's a full-time agent. I don't see Tim McGee (Sean Murray) being the leader and he's been there since season 1 (recurring) and he's stepdad create I would have suggested Michael Weatherly's Tony Dinozzo being the team leader if Gibbs retire but Weatherly left to do his own show Bull (loosely based Dr. Phil) and Weatherly had his own issues as well. Honestly, if Harmon leaves after season 17, just end the show. I don't really see anyone taking over maybe unless Bull gets canceled.
