I still hate it now like I did then (The Challenge: Final Reckoning)
I going to talk about the Challenge so I can break from politics and me making oral sex comments about Republicans defending Trump (a friend of mine complained to me a few times about that, however, I'm not going to stop though not going to anything along those lines on this post past this line). Probably the biggest surprise that the strongest teams in Brad/Kyle and Tony/that Bitch Bananas (yes I'm still mad about him taking money from Sarah and probably won't end anytime soon unless Bananas pays back Sarah) didn't make it to the finals. Feel bad for those three especially Tony he did his part in the elimination, Bananas lost to of all people Natalie in the physical part of the elimination (hold your arms above your shoulder with your hands tied). Seriously dude? At least Tony didn't have to worry about Bananas ripping him off. Also, Natalie and her partner Paulie (both from Big Brother) lost three eliminations this season (seriously MTV?). I know to talk about the Challenge is going to make me sound like an old man complaining to kids get off my yard but when I first started watching the Challenge, it was from the shows Real World and Road Rules and those shows only. Then in 2004 Road Rules ended (coming back briefly in 2007) and for ten years, the challenge seemed to be doing well without Road Rules then came Battle of the Exes 2 in 2015 (filmed in 2014) where Are You the One castmembers joined the challenge. Then on the last season (Vendettas), the producers brought alums from Big Brothers and MTV Britain shows. Keep in mind, the producers only had two people each from the last two Real World seasons and only one (Kailah) has returned. Honestly, I not really against but I not for other shows coming into the Challenge. I know Road Rules is gone and Real World has been on pause for about two years (though it is coming back via Facebook Live next year) but why not have another Fresh Meat or Bloodlines or have on alums that would love to come if they haven't done one yet or those who want to come back. Come on MTV get with the program. Also, another idea I'm not for or against is the redemption house. I think it was a joke that Paulie and Natalie lost three eliminations and still made it to the final. Seriously? What happened to losing one and you're gone? In the finals, it ended up being Ashley M/Hunter, Joss/Sylvia, Paulie/Natalie, and Cara/Marie. If I ran the Challenge Hall of Fame, I have a rule if you make it to the finals you're in. I call it the Trishelle rule. Then again, I would deny people from the Hall but for another post. I spare you the wait and say that Ashley M and Hunter won the season and Ashley pulled a Bananas and took all money. I understand why she did it more than that Bitch Bananas, Hunter said some things which are hard to take back. However, I still believe it's a terrible decision and I have a feeling Ashley isn't going to make it to another final. I think the producers protect Bananas more than anyone else on the show and he hasn't been to a final since Rivals 3. Plus it seems like the guys can get away from it more than the ladies. The sad part is I'm hoping with a challenge where Ashley M/Ashley K can team up for a challenge, still can but would they last long in the Challenge. The only people I couldn't blame for taking all of the money are the ones with kids and that's it. Other than that I think people would create to big target on their backs that won't go away.
