My Gauntlet 2 Dream
I wanted to get away from talking politics for a change to talk about one of my favorite shows the Challenge on MTV. I did talked about it on an earlier post when I was candidate Crowley, now I'm just Crowley about me wanting to change Reality TV if I was elected like last minute changes in the rules during these shows (or the Johnny Bananas rule as I would call it, Yes I'm not going to forget about that) and cutting down of alcohol in the houses and not just the Challenge, Reality TV in general. As some of you know, The Challenge started their 32nd season called Final Reckoning and in the I CALL IT CATEGORY Johnny Bananas is partners with Tony who turned against him on the last season. Good Luck Tony. Though rumor has it that Tony and Bananas were partners because Devin (Banana's original partner) had a suddenly death in the family. Just hope Bananas doesn't screw over Tony like he did to Sarah on Rivals III. Also Kailah and Melissa got the boot for fighting on Day Damn One (Well Night Damn One Really). I admit I've been watching since the Inferno (well a few episodes of the Gauntlet as well) in 2004. So I've been watching this for 25 seasons (not counting the few episodes of the Gauntlet and the Champs vs Pros/stars format which alums and celebs complete to win money for their charity). I want to talk about the Gauntlet 2 since well I have a dream about. It was the 11th season of the Challenge with the Veterans vs Rookies format. It was Rookies were either rookies or did one challenge prior to Gauntlet 2 (expect for Jamie from Real World New Orleans season who did two prior) and the Vets did two or more (besides Jamie). Highlights including Jo from Real World San Francisco who returned about a dozen years off TV and quit after people slipped chocolate syrup on her captain's quarters, Derrick (Road Rules 13) being upset by Timmy (Road Rules 2) on the last Gauntlet (in fairness Timmy had a good challenge career, three finals [winning one first Inferno] and probably could have been four if he wasn't seriously injure on Inferno 3), Susie (RR 6) and Cara (RR 12) trying to start a coup against Kina (RR 13) and failing because they invited Jillian who was on the same season as Kina and three others. Granted it didn't help Cara and Susie since half of the ladies were from season 13 of Road Rules and Jo and Cameran (yes before she did Southern Charm, Cameran was on Real World San Diego and did a couple of challenges) left early. Cara got the boot and Susie performed well to avoid Kina from sending her to the Gauntlet. Also the rookies won. To begin on my dream I must start with this, I didn't like how the rookies voted. They voted by letting the team captains (Kina from RR 13 and Alton from Real World Las Vegas) voting instead of team voting like the Vets did. I have some questions why Danny and Jillian were sent to the Gauntlet. I believe those two were sent for personal BS and not performance base (well Jillian was probably picked because Kina didn't want to face off against her friend Ibis [captains would face off against whatever they/their team picked]). Thinking about it now, I believe even if the rookies did a team vote those two would have been sent home when they were. OK more unsure about Jillian but that would have been the case for Danny who pissed off some members of the rookie team including us fellow roadie Jodi who was hooking up with team captain Alton which led Alton to pick and later send Danny home in a Gauntlet called reverse tug of war. OK NOW FOR MY DREAM, I'm on the rookie team. I think I was a part of deliberation though the biggest part I remember is that Danny and Alton are facing off in tug of war with the rest of the team choosing who to help. Most of the team is helping Alton with MJ and Landon (both from Real World Philly) helping Danny. I'm there deciding on who to help while the Tug of War is happening (I doubt it would have been allowed but again my dream). I ended up helping MJ and Landon helping Danny and I get it one big pull and Danny wins (again my dream). I was Oh crap I think twice thinking "What did I do?" realizing that Alton a strong player is going home then Danny cheers as he won. The last part I remember before the dream ends is coming back to the challenge house. Unsure if Danny would have keep me around because he died tragically last year. I doubt I would have outlasted MJ, Landon, and Jamie (maybe I would have but again my dream ended after the Alton-Danny Inferno so maybe me, MJ, Landon, Jamie, the Road Rules 13 ladies, and Susie win it all). Fun to think what if my dream continued. Only the won time I would have won the challenge unless they do a Champs vs Trolls format and I trolled Johnny Bananas to the point he blocked me on Twitter and Instagram. HINT HINT MTV.
